1. Who We Are

Skitly ("Skitly," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered video skit platform operated from the State of Wisconsin, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. This policy applies to the Skitly website and application (collectively, the "Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, profile photo, and authentication identifiers (e.g., when you sign in with Google).
  • Content you submit: brand descriptions, prompts, topics, and other inputs you provide to generate skits.
  • Generated content: the scripts and videos produced by the Service for you.
  • Payment information: billing details necessary to purchase credits, processed by our third-party payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Usage data: log data, device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in and to understand product usage.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • Generate scripts and videos using third-party AI models;
  • Process payments and credit purchases;
  • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and updates;
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. AI Processing

To generate Outputs, we send your prompts and related inputs to third-party AI model providers. We do not authorize those providers to use your content to train their general models beyond what their applicable enterprise terms permit. AI Outputs may not be unique to you.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers: cloud hosting, database, authentication, payment processing, AI model providers, and analytics vendors that act on our behalf under contract.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or to protect Skitly's rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Generated videos and skits remain in your account until you delete them or your account is terminated. We may retain certain logs, transaction records, and backup copies for as long as needed for legal, accounting, or security purposes.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level database security) to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access & correction: edit your profile in your account settings at any time.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
  • Marketing emails: opt out using the unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (e.g., receipts) are required.
  • Cookies: control cookies through your browser settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, or the EEA/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a regulator. Contact us to exercise these rights — we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

9. Children

Skitly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

10. International Users

Skitly is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
